Welcome to Equal House. By downloading, accessing or using our app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Using the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and manage a household. You are responsible for the members you add, including managed profiles for children, and for the content you create. Use the Service only for lawful, personal, family purposes.

Your household and members

An adult account owner sets up a household and may invite others. Children's profiles are managed by adults and have no independent login. The account owner is responsible for ensuring everyone in the household understands how their information is used.

Subscriptions and billing

• Equal House offers a free plan and paid Family Premium subscriptions, charged per household.
• Paid subscriptions may begin with a free trial. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price.
• Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by those stores under their terms; manage or cancel renewal in your store account.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

AI-assisted features

Some features use AI to suggest events, chores, meals or gifts. These suggestions are advisory only and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming them before they take effect. Equal House does not provide nutritional, financial, medical or legal advice.

Open banking and financial information

Where you connect a bank account through a regulated open-banking provider, that connection is subject to the provider's and your bank's terms. Information shown in the app is for your convenience and may not always be complete or up to date.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, no unlawful or infringing content, and no using it to harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service for you and your household.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Equal House is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any household decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
