Welcome to Equal House. By downloading, accessing or using our app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Using the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and manage a household. You are responsible for the members you add, including managed profiles for children, and for the content you create. Use the Service only for lawful, personal, family purposes.

Your household and members

An adult account owner sets up a household and may invite others. Children's profiles are managed by adults and have no independent login. The account owner is responsible for ensuring everyone in the household understands how their information is used.

Subscriptions and billing

• Equal House offers a free plan (with a rolling 3-day planning horizon) and a paid Equal House Pro subscription, charged per household at £2.99 per month or £29.90 per year.
• There is no free trial. Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled.
• You subscribe inside the Equal House app, which opens secure Stripe Checkout in your browser. Manage, change or cancel your subscription anytime from the app.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

AI-assisted features

Some features use AI to suggest events, chores, meals or gifts. These suggestions are advisory only and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming them before they take effect. Equal House does not provide nutritional, financial, medical or legal advice.

Pocket money

The pocket-money feature is a simple record-keeping tool. Balances are credited when a child completes an approved chore and adjusted when you record a pay-out. Equal House does not hold, transfer or process any real money, and is not a payment or banking service.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, no unlawful or infringing content, and no using it to harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service for you and your household.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Equal House is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any household decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
