Every event in one place
Standalone events, parties, work shifts and subscribed feeds merge into one timeline — no more juggling three apps and a paper diary. Jobs have a tab of their own, so the calendar shows where everyone needs to be, not everything they need to do.
A real day timeline
See who is where, hour by hour, with overlapping items packed side-by-side and an all-day strip. Tap any block to edit or reassign it, or tap an empty hour to start a new event there.
Filter by who, what and when
Show one person’s day, a single category, or just this weekend. Active filters are always visible and one tap to clear. Multi-day trips and holidays appear on every day they cover, with the dates they span and a label saying whether they start, continue or end that day.
Search, and change just one
Search your events by name and jump straight to the day, or back to today with one tap — a month back and, with Equal House Pro, a full year ahead (three days ahead on the free plan). Change one date of a repeating event — “Just this one” — without touching the rest of the series.
On your computer, too
Sign in at app.equal.house and the same family calendar is a week grid, with an all-day row, a line for now, a mini month and the week’s busiest day. It is the same household and the same plan as your phone, with nothing to install.
Every kind of event
Thirteen categories — school, sports, health, social, work, family, travel, parties, holidays and away time, plus birthdays and anniversaries that repeat every year on their own. Add a location to any event, see it on a map, and tap for directions.
See where the time really goes
A per-person time breakdown splits each adult’s scheduled hours by category for the week or month — so you can see, honestly, who’s spending how long on sport, work or the kids.
School & club feeds
Subscribe to a school or club with a join code and their events flow straight into your family calendar — automatically. With Calendar Sync you can also show a Google, Outlook or Apple calendar alongside the family’s, so work and personal dates sit in the same week. It is a read-only subscription: Equal House never writes back to it. Linking your own calendar is part of Equal House Pro.
Reminders that fire on time
On-device reminders nudge you before an event or a daily routine, a lead time you choose before it starts. They’re on by default and need no account or cloud push, so nothing important slips through.
Today’s tasks, on your time
One on-device notification a day tells you how many tasks you have — “You have 3 tasks to complete today” — and a tap opens the Tasks tab. It’s on at 9am unless you choose another time, and it’s per-person, not a household setting: everyone picks their own time on their own phone.
It all feeds the Fairness Score
A party on the calendar brings its jobs with it — the card, the present, the lift — onto the Tasks tab, where they are shared out and flow into the Fairness Engine like any other job, so the effort is shared rather than silently absorbed by one person.
