Making household responsibilities genuinely equal
In countless homes, one person ends up carrying the household — not just the chores, but the constant, invisible work of remembering, planning and organising. We think that's both unfair and fixable.
Equal House began with a simple, frustrating observation: every family app on the market is great at making lists, but none of them answer the question that actually causes tension — “is this fair?”
Splitting chores fifty-fifty sounds equal, but it isn't. Bathing the kids, planning the week's meals and remembering the dentist appointment are worlds apart from taking the bins out. So we built a Fairness Engine that weights every task by the effort it really takes, learns who each job suits, respects who's away, and turns the whole picture into a single, honest score the family can see together.
Around that engine we built the things families need every day — a shared calendar, smart planners for meals and the school run, a safe space for kids to pitch in and earn, and a private home for the family's money and documents. Everything feeds back into fairness, so the effort is always shared, never silently absorbed.
Our goal is a calmer week and a fairer home: fewer “I do everything” arguments, more feeling like a team. That's it. That's the whole company.
What we believe
Fairness over fifty-fifty
Real fairness accounts for effort, suitability and time — not just an even tally of tasks.
A team, not a manager
No one should have to be the household’s project manager. The work should organise itself.
Privacy is non-negotiable
A family’s data is sacred. We don’t sell it, and children share nothing personal.
Built for real homes
Messy schedules, picky eaters, school runs and birthdays — designed for life as it actually is.
Help us make homes fairer
Every family that shares the load a little more fairly is the whole point. Join them.
