Delete your account
How to remove yourself, or the whole household, from Equal House — and what happens to shared data when you do.
Where to find it
More → Settings → Delete my account & data
You can delete your account from inside the app. There is no form to fill in and no email to send.
- More → Settings → Delete my account & data.
- Confirm.
What gets deleted
Your account and your personal data. If you are the last adult in the household, the household and everything in it goes with you — tasks, calendar, documents, children’s profiles.
This cannot be undone. There is no restore.
If other adults remain
The household continues. Work you did stays counted in its history, so past weeks still add up correctly for the people still using it, but it is no longer attached to you.
Before you go
- If you want a copy, use Request my data first — after deletion there is nothing to export
- Cancel your subscription separately if you have one. Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription, because Apple and Google own that relationship, not us
Leaving a household without deleting your account
If you only want out of one family — a shared house you have moved out of, say — use More → Your account → Leave instead. Your account survives and you can be re-invited.
