Seared Tuna Steak with Avocado & Tomato Salsa
Ingredients
- 4 tuna steaks
- 2 ripe avocados
- 3 vine tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 2 lime
- 15 g fresh coriander
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Method

Dice the tomatoes and red onion finely. Cube the avocado flesh. Combine with the lime juice, chopped coriander, and a pinch of salt to make the salsa.

Rub the tuna steaks with olive oil and smoked paprika, then season generously.

Heat a griddle or heavy frying pan over very high heat until smoking.

Sear the tuna steaks for 1–2 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if preferred.

Rest for 2 minutes, then serve with the avocado and tomato salsa and extra lime wedges.
