Get your school's term dates
Add your child's school so its term dates, holidays and INSET days land in the family calendar — filled in for you where we hold that school's dates, added once by you where we don't.
Where to find it

This one needs Equal House Pro. See what's included.
Term dates are the scaffolding of a family year, and they arrive as a PDF nobody transcribes.
A term runs for months, and the free plan reaches three days ahead — so the date pickers here stop at your horizon unless you have Pro. That is also why setting up a school run needs Pro: a school is set up with its school year.
- More → School Routines.
- Search for the school by name.
- Confirm. If we hold that school’s dates, they fill in for you, and the card says how many were added.
Most schools’ dates aren’t filled in yet. We hold term dates for some schools only, so for most you add the closures once yourself — half terms, INSET days, holidays — or subscribe to the school’s own calendar feed if it publishes one (below).
Which schools are listed
Equal House carries a directory of UK schools. If your device is set to a region outside the UK you will be offered plain text entry instead, since a directory of UK schools would be no use to you — and you can still search the directory deliberately if you want it.
If your school is not found
Add it by name and enter the dates yourself. If the school publishes a calendar feed, you can subscribe to it instead — see bringing in a calendar, which is the more reliable route because it keeps updating.
What lands in the calendar
Term start and end dates, holidays and INSET days, marked so they read differently from ordinary events. They are what make a school run stop firing during half term, and a school-days routine skip its INSET days.
