Set up reminders
Get a notification before an event or a task is due, and set the household's default so you stop having to think about it.

Equal House can remind you before something is due. Reminders are notifications on your own device.
The household default
More → Settings → Default reminder sets how far ahead new events remind by default. Thirty minutes suits most people. Setting it once is better than setting it per event forever.
Per event
Any event can override the default when you create or edit it — an hour before a dentist appointment, a day before a passport expires.
The daily summary
Separately, Equal House can send one message a day with what is coming. More → Settings → Daily summary, and set the time it arrives. For a lot of households this is more useful than individual reminders, because it is one prompt rather than nine.
If reminders do not arrive
- Check notifications are allowed for Equal House in your phone’s settings.
- Check the app is not being battery-optimised into silence — Android’s power saving will hold notifications back.
- Reminders are per device. A reminder set on a phone that is now in a drawer will not reach the phone in your hand.
