Raise something difficult in Safe Space
A structured way to say the thing you have been avoiding — with a cooling-off timer, and without it becoming a row at nine at night.
Where to find it
Safe Space tab
This one needs Equal House Pro. See what's included.
Safe Space is for the conversations a household keeps not having. It is not a chat — it has a deliberate shape, because the shape is what stops it going the way these usually go.
Raising something
- Safe Space tab, then add.
- Write what is actually bothering you.
- Choose whether it goes to the household now, or after a delay.
The cooling-off timer
You can hold a message for up to an hour before it is delivered. Written in the moment, read after it has passed — which is often the difference between a point being made and a fight being started.
You can cancel during that hour. Nothing has been seen yet.
Leaving yourself out
You can exclude yourself from the notification, so you are not pinged about your own message the second it lands.
Resolving and archiving
Items can be marked resolved and archived. The archive matters more than it sounds: a household that can see it raised the same thing four times in six months is looking at a pattern rather than an incident.
Who can see it
Adults in your household. Children never see Safe Space — it does not appear in Kid Mode at all.
What it is not
It is not mediation, and it is not a therapist. It is a way of getting something said, at a moment when saying it is possible.
