Ingredients
- 400 g tempeh
- 2 tbsp palm sugar

- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- 200 ml vegetable oil for frying

- 3
Add the tempeh, bring to a simmer and cook for 12-15 minutes until the liquid has mostly reduced and the tempeh has taken on the sweet marinade.

Heat 2cm of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the braised tempeh for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and slightly crisp at the edges.
- 5
Drain briefly on paper towel and serve with steamed rice.
