15 min Serves 4 ~£7.00 (£1.75/serving) Dairy-free

Ingredients

  • 1200 g chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp white miso paste
  • 25 g fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp clear honey
  • 2 clove garlic cloves
  • 4 spring onions

Method

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan. Line a large baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top if you have one.

  2. 2

Grate the ginger and garlic, then mix with the miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey to make the glaze.

  3. 3

Pat the chicken wings dry with kitchen paper, then toss thoroughly in the miso glaze.

  4. 4

Spread in a single layer on the prepared tray and roast for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway, until sticky and caramelised.

  5. 5

Finely slice the spring onions and scatter over the wings before serving with steamed rice and a simple Asian-style slaw.
