Fragrant Keema Pea Curry

Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb mince
  • 150 g frozen peas
  • 400 g tinned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 onion
  • 3 clove garlic cloves
  • 20 g fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

    Finely dice the onions, mince the garlic, and grate the ginger.

    Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, add the onions and cook for 8 minutes until deeply golden.

    Add the garlic, ginger, garam masala, and turmeric. Stir for 2 minutes.

    Add the lamb mince and brown well, breaking it up with a spoon.

    Stir in the tomatoes, bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered for 20 minutes until the sauce reduces.

    Add the frozen peas and cook for 3 more minutes. Season well, cool, and freeze in portions.
