Some family logistics span two homes: a co-parent, grandparents who do Wednesdays, an aunt who does the school run in an emergency. Connections lets two households plan together without either seeing the other’s private life.
Linking
- More → Connections.
- Send a share code to the other household.
- They accept, and you are linked.
What they can see
Free and busy, not detail. A linked household sees when you have something on, not what it is. Your chores, your money, your children’s PINs and everything else stay yours.
That is the whole design. Two families sharing a calendar in full is not something most people want, and it is usually the reason they end up using no shared tool at all.
Finding a time
With a link in place, Plan with family finds slots that work for both households — which beats four messages and a guess.
Shared events
Either household can propose an event. The other RSVPs. If plans diverge, the event forks rather than one household silently overwriting the other’s version, so nobody arrives on the wrong day because somebody else edited it.
Unlinking
Remove the connection at any time, from either side. It takes effect immediately and needs no agreement from the other household.
